Rosie was down on her score. The team needed her to play her best since she was the last player on and the whole school was on tie. It was up to her to see which school was to win. Rosie had pressure above her. It was an intense moment. Every ball mattered. She couldn't let the team down. So she returned every ball. They then went on a tie-breaker. Rosie won!!! Everyone hugged her. . On the girls tennis banquet, she got a trophy for most improved. |

You have just entered Rosalba Gurrola's page. Rosie has been playin tennis for a year an a half. She enrolled in tennis on her ninth grade year. When she was 11 years old she was coached only for a month or something?!? But when got to high school she joined the JV team.  She had played tennis before at age eleven and joined the tennis team in high school. She played JV with her partner Cynthia Rodriguez. They both had eachother in elementary. Rosie was surprised to see her. They both gave big hugs. This year Rosie played singles because there was an open spot. Mr. Cockerill was looking for someone who was right enough to take it. He looked at both girls and let them play against me to see who will take number four singles. Rosie got the spot while Cynthia stayed in doubles with a new partner Steaphanie Camerena. |
