I got a trophy. Later in August, I played another mixed doubles match. It was in Whittier Narrows. It was my partner Albert Barrios' birthday. We won number one in the tournament. In order to win we had to face my sister and my old mixed dub. parnter. It was so exciting, I got a medal! And just recently on November 2001, I got a trophy on the girls tennis banquet for MOST POTENTIAL. |

Yup, this is me. I play number three singles. I joined tennis on my second semester of my ninth grade year.I never thought I'd join the tennis team but here I am,- VARSITY.  I became Varsity along with my older sister Michelle, she plays #3 doubles. She is the only reason why I joined tennis. There was one day that My uncle, sister, cousin, and I went to the park to play tennis. At that time, I wasn't enrolled in the tennis class and wasn't experienced in the game. We played a match and my uncle and I lost. I was so upset and wanted to beat my sister so bad. So I joined the tennis team. I was fortunate to make it in Varsity. |
