'67 Mustang GTA 390 Fastback

Pictures of My Mustang

According to Kevin Marti, this Vintage Burgandy over Black, San Jose Built Fastback was originally sold by McCoy Ford of Anaheim, California in late November, 1966. When it left the factory, it was equipped with an S code 390 4v engine, C6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic, GT Equipment Group, Exterior Decor Group, Interior Decor Group, Select Aire Air Conditioning, Power Steering, AM-FM Radio, Center Console, Tilt-Away Steering Column, Deluxe Steering Wheel, Tinted Glass, Deluxe Seat Belts, Sport Deck Rear Seat, and California Smog equipment. Unfortunately, over the years prior owners removed the AM/FM radio, the Smog equipment and the Deluxe Steering Wheel as well as a number of small parts while replacing some of them with aftermarket items. The good news is that a couple of factory options were added, namely Styled Steel Wheels and the Ribbed Tail Light Panel. Since purchasing this car, I've found and installed a fully functional '67 Tilt-Away column to replace the partially funcitional '68 or '69 Tilt-Away column that came with the car when I bought it. I've also re-installed a number of small items that were "lost" over the years such as the bumper guards, the deluxe seat belts with warning light, fan shroud, as well as numerous rubber grommets, gaskets, and bumpers. Lastly, the drivetrain has received several upgrades including Edelbrock Aluminum Heads and water pump, Holley Street Dominator Intake Manifold, Holley Street Avenger 670 Carburator, Crane Cam and adjustable rockers, Hooker Super Comp Headers with 2 1/2" exhaust, Pertronix Ignitor with Flamethrower coil, and a shift kit for the C6. Overall, this car is a nice driver quality Mustang which I drive on a regular basis. For the most part, the things that need fixing are relatively small and I have been proceeding at my own pace, time and money permitting. My overall plan is to restore functionality to all the car's features and keep it maintained for regular use. I have no plans to turn it into a trailer queen.
