My Amended birth certificate says I was born in Oakland but I don't know if this is true. I was adopted thru Childrens Home Society in San Francisco/Oakland. The adoption was finalized in Alameda County in May of 1945. I have had a fairly good life but would dearly love to find my birth family. I need medical info, would like to know my heritage and would like to know my birth family. I'm not going to disrupt anyone's life, just want questions answered. My Birth Name was "Claudia Marie".I have my so-called non-id information from CHS. This site is still under construction and I hope to have lots of information here for California adoptees. UPDATE! Dec. 13,2000. I now know that my adoption was Finalized May 14,1945 in San Mateo County. Also,I received my final adoption papers from San Mateo County and my Birth Name is: Claudia Marie Faulkner!
UPDATE! Mar. 6, 2001 REUNITED with Bmom and 2 brothers and 1 sister!! Now looking for information on my Bdad.
UPDATE! Apr. 27,2001 REUNITED with Bdad's family! I have 1 Aunt,1 brother and cousins. Unfortunately, my Bdad passed away.
