Historical Fiction

My favorite books are historical fiction. This genre is not clearly defined. Some people associate this genre with historical romance. In my opinion, historical romance is a completely different category. To me, historical fiction is fiction set in another time in history. The plot of historical fiction revolves around the people and the events of the time. On the other hand, I believe that historical romance is romance set in another time; that is, the story revolves around a person's romantic relations and the story happens to be set in a time other than the present.
