A new
class of sets namely, the class of g#-closed sets
is introduced for topological spaces. The class of g#-closed
sets is properly placed in between the class of closed sets and the class
of g-closed sets. As applications of g#-closed sets, we introduce and study some
new classes of spaces. Further we introduce and study the class of g#-continuous
maps and the class of g#-irresolute
maps.
