In 1990, a couple of drunk punks got together with no experience, and no money. They just wanted to make some noise for the boys and have a band to pass the time. The band members were influenced completely by Oi! punk like the Partisans & Infa-Riot, which was very rare in NYC during the 90's. The Casualties would be seen playing shows at ABC No Rio and the big punk festival in Brooklyn called the Beer Olympics. Other than that, they didn't travel or go out of state for gigs.

The Casualties recorded their first song, "Political Sin", for a 7" compilation called Benefit for Beer, which included three other local punk bands: The Deviators, Jesus Chrust, and Public Nuisance. The Casualties' first single, "40 oz. Casualty", was recorded in '93. It contained six songs and was released on the band's own label, Glue 001. They put the record out for their friends and the local scene rather than trying to make a commercial release out of it.
In 1994, Mark and Fred quit the band only to be replaced by Jake on guitar and Mike on bass. It was that same year that the Casualties went to a small studio in New Jersey to record two tracks for the Pogo Attack compilation (an East Coast punk comp.), one of the tracks being the infamous "For the Punx". The Casualties eventually found themselves banned from ABC, and drug abuse caught up with two of the members. This ended up with Yureesh (drummer) and Colin (singer) being kicked out of the band. The new (bassist) was Rick from the Krays. The Casualties then stayed as a four-piece, and Shawn joined to play drums. He was quickly replaced by Meggars.

Jorge, the singer for The Casualties, started his own distro called Para Punx. The Casualties went on a world tour with The Unseen and Violent Society. They recently put out a cd called "Who's In Control". They went on the Europe Tour called "Holidays in the Sun" with bands such as G.B.H., Exploited, Unseen, Funeral Dress, Banner of Hope and more. Then right after that they went on a U.S. Tour with Virus, Endless Struggle, Funeral Dress, Antidote and more. The Casualties just finished a brand new cd called "Stay Out of Order". It can play movies and has pictures on it if you run it in the computer. It has been heard that the Casualties will split into two seprate bands because of problems. But not known for sure.
