Magery Inscribtion Item ID

With her hair tied neatly in a bun, and her glasses on, she carefully heald the sword in her hands and examined it thoroughly. It was indeed magical, but what kind? She pondered this while the gentleman who found it eagerly looked on.

"Ah yes, I see now." she looked up. "This sword is a durable, accurate katana of wounding with 12...no, 14 charges." she said with a smile. "I'm afraid I can't offer ye much for it sir."

The man was outraged. He grabbed the katana from her hand and examined it himself, of course seeing nothing. He looked back to Ceridwen with a glare.

"Ye mean to tell me I risked my neck for this worthless scrap of metal?" the disgust on his face exemplifing his response.

"I'm afraid so sir" she confirmed.

All at once the man threw the katana on the counter and left in a huff, yelling back to her as he walked out the door, "Keep it!".

Ceridwen grinned and placed the katana in the display case before greating the next customer.

"Hail sir, how may I help thee?"

A frail old man scurried closer to the counter and placed a ragged scroll near her hands. He then took one step back and looked down in shame.

"Ye can't read sir?" she asked, already knowing the answer. The old man just nodded his head and waited.

Ceridwen grabbed the sroll and unrolled it. At first glance it appeared to be nothing but scribbles, but she soon realized it was just poor penmenship. She adjusted her glasses and took another look. She recognized the words garlic and ginseng, but had trouble reading the last word. She looked back at the man and said "I will need regeants to preform the spell if that is what you wish."

The old man said nothing, but instead handed her a small sack with one of every kind of reagent. He then nodded his head as if to give permission to use the spell.

Ceridwen then closed her eyes and tried concentrate. She drew in a deep breath and opened her eyes, saying the words out loud to herself. "Uus Sanct" she chanted, and then realized she must choose someone to target. She thought to target the old man, but feared it could be a harmful spell. She hesitated for a moment and lost her concentration. As she looked around the room, not sure of what to do, she noticed a tall, thin gentleman in the back. He stared right into her eyes and with a cool, confident grin simply nodded. She was certain it would do no harm.

Ceridwen closed her eyes once more and repeated the chant. When she opened them she saw the old man. Suddenly he began to glow, and she jumped a little. He then looked towards her with bright blue eyes and smiled.

"Oh thank ye m'lady. I had two of these scrolls, and I wanted to give one to my grandson. May the Gods bless thee." he muttered as he exited the building.

Ceridwen couldn't help but to sigh in relief. She looked towards the back of the room to thank the gentleman, but he was gone. In the place where he sat was a spell book with every page full. She stepped back in shock, afraid to even touch it. She then saw a note next to the book in the same poor penmenship as the scroll. She looked it over carefully and read it outloud. "You have a gift young lady, use it well."
