If you thought finding a parking spot close to the Beverly Center was tough, try searching for Café Sushi sometime! Hidden away a block from the mall in the corner of an office building, Café Sushi’s strange location may be exasperating but it’s worth the effort. With its calm atmosphere, the eatery is a pleasant escape from the madness of the city that lies just outside its doors. Café Sushi’s mixed clientele epitomizes the LA scene -- everyone looks like a movie star. But the food is what draws the crowd. The sushi, of course is the highlight of the menu, with its sensuous flavors and beautiful presentation. The dynamite is especially good and the crunchy rolls are, in a word, yummy! Non-sushi eaters will find their taste buds satisfied with Café Sushi’s terrific teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura. The hostesses are friendly, and the servers are cute but maybe not as knowledgeable about the sushi selection as they should be. All in all, if you’re craving sushi and don’t mind the wait, Café Sushi won’t disappoint!
