Stars of Hope
|
As
the security of the sun’s light, Descends
below the Earth’s horizon, The
shadows of the dark night, Emerge
to engulf all that was day. What
was once warm and safe, Is
now cold and unforgiving. All
that was light, is now dark. What
had meaning, now is confusion. Through
the darkness of this solitude, Comes
forth a single light of hope. It
is faint against the multitude, Of
shadows but never yields. As
the hope grows within, so does the light, Stand
ever firm and strong, Against
the cold darkness of the night. And
the self finds that it does belong. No
amount of confusion and loneliness, Can
extinguish these soft lights. They
remain through the emptiness, They
remain through the night. But
the shadows stand strong deep within, Leaving
traces of darkness as a reminder, That
even hope can fade with time. -Charlette
