Mormon and Jehovah Witnesses Contradictions

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, The Mormons.

Soon they will be confronted with the important decision of choosing between the teachings of Elder Bruce R. McConkie firmly established on Jacob 2: 24-30, and the teachings of the seven first prophets of the Church (Joseph Smith included), because only one teaching can be admissible.

Brigham Young made this statement on August 19, 1866:

"The only men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy." (Journal of Discourses, vol. 11, page 269)

Now in total contradiction Elder Bruce R. McConkie announced: "Mormon Doctrine", Pg.578 PLURAL MARRIAGE

"Plural marriage is not essential to salvation or exaltation. ……"



1889 Nov 24, Wilford Woodruff, as president, receives revelation which continued the defiant discourse of the church's enemies. Jesus Christ himself promised protection for the church's practice of polygamy: "I, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, am in your midst ... Awake, O. Israel, and have faith in God and His promises, and he will not forsake you. I the Lord will deliver my Saints from the domination of the wicked, in my own due time and way." (Stacker, p. XVII.)
