Tal, and welcome to My little corner of Gor. My name as you can see is Ilmarinen, and my home is the city of Lydius on Chatropolis. I've only been on this wild, world of barbaric splendor for about 10 months now, but I've worked hard to go out and learn all I could about it. In doing so, I found there is no substitute for actually going out and reading the books. On the following pages, you'll find quotes from the books. These are longer quotes than you'll find on most other websites, so that you know the context the quote is made in.
Right now this is just the barest beginning to this site, merely a days worth of work, but there will be more coming as I get the time to go through the 24 books I have for interesting tidbits to share. This page is aimed toward the person looking to learn the background and gain an understanding of the world of Gor before going into a Gorean chatroom and making some hot-tempered warrior all mad with their lack of understanding. It will probably have a lot of the things other sites do, but I'll be trying to stay away from long dictionaries and lists of foods and such
