I've been watching people hit this page left and right, and I've noticed that not everyone checks out the rest of my site, so I figured that I would try to run this part of my site on it's own. The counter is for Chasing Fireflies only, it doesn't log the hits that the rest of my site gets. Also, I think I'll run a seperate update on this page. If anyone has any ideas, let me know, I can do my best to incorporate them (keep in mind that I've pretty much taught myself the basics of HTML since about April . . . so it's got to be pretty rudimentary).

Chasing Gray is an amazing band out of Boston. If you know these guys, email me! I have been introducing my friends to them left and right, but I haven't found anyone who knows their music already. And, if you don't know them, check them out. You can get a few of their songs off of their website, from a link on there, I think.

At any rate, I found out about them a few months ago when I did a late-night search on mp3.com. Chasing Gray came up, and I downloaded the songs that they had. I was REALLY impressed, so I decided to visit their website. I looked around it, and found that they have an email address for fans to write to, so I sent off an email that night (I think, it may have been a few nights later), and got a response from James (the lead singer) later that week sometime. We've pretty much been "in touch" since then, and I bought their cd. It's good to know the band (or email with them :) I got one of the first run cds, and it's signed by James, Gary, and Stu.

As far as accolades they have received, Spin magazine named them the best unsigned band in 1998, and they did have to order another set of their cd since the other ones sold out.

James mentioned in his last email that they are thinking about coming out to play here in California (woo hoo!) maybe in the fall. Hmm . . . now to figure out where they could play . . .

I will put more stuff in here when I have the time, but I felt bad not having anything up for them, since they are one of my favorite bands (and only one that I am actually in touch with).

Chasing Gray Pictures - currently I only have pictures from one of their shows. Colleen (a fellow rep) was at their show at the Wetlands in NYC (July 8, 2000) and took some pictures and was kind enough to send them to me to put on my site, so here they are :) Soon I will be getting more pictures of the guys practicing (I guess) . . . If you have any pics of shows past and would like to share them, please let me know, I'd love to get more pictures up on here. And I would credit you, of course.
