Ruth gave of her time, talents and treasures to help make
San Diego City and County clean and green. She was a pioneer in
beautification, and our community respects her hard work and

The December Poinsettia Display in Balboa Park's Botanical Building
has been well supported by City Beautiful members, friends and other
organizations. We thank you and deeply appreciate your continuing
support. We are also grateful to Roger and Mary Lindsay who set up
a fund for the poinsettias in the San Diego Foundation.
Contributions from members and friends have added to the fund, giving
us hope that one day the fund will fully pay for the annual poinsettia display
