The angry seas to the south are calmed by a reef which nearly breaks the
water's surface below.  A thick jungle to the east and west makes landfall
quite impossible. The wide lagoon opens to the north and seems safer.  You can
even spy a few small crafts with natives fishing.  You sure do hope they are
friendly.
The sky is lit by flashes of lightning and a cold northern gust blows.
