Possession under 28.5 grams, $100 fine, no booking, if you can show ID and appear in court.

Under 28.5 on school grounds while school is open: $250 fine, 2nd offense, 10 days and $500

Over 28.5 Grams,0-6 months, $500

Possession for sale, example: having a lot of extra baggies or scales: 16 months, 2-3 years probation

Growing: for personal use: stay of imposition of the conviction, drug education, charges dropped.

Growing for sale: example: baggies, scales: 0-16 months, 2-3 years probation, no specified amount.

Selling, giving away, importing, or transporting into California: 2 - 4 years.

Possession or cultivation or transportation is legal upon a doctor's recommendation or approval
