The scene opens up in Miami, Florida for the ICWF's second annual Royal Rumble PPV! The pyros shoot off, and Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are heard at ringside.
Jim Ross - Welcome to ICWF Royal Rumble 2002!! We have a great show tonight with alot of backstage tension. Hopefully these superstars will be professional about their differences.
[Brian Richards is inside of his dressing room preparing for the Rumble match tonight. Michael Cole suddenly enters the room looking a little shaken. He walks over to Richards who stares at Cole as if he's crazy. Cole is noticably shaking as Richards gets in his face.]
Brian Richards - Well Cole? You barge into my dressing room like that, what the hell do you want?
Michael Cole: Umm, Mr. Richards. We're...having pre-match interviews. If you don't mind.
Brian Richards - Fine Cole, get it over with. I have a Rumble to win.

[At that very moment a steel chair flies into view and cracks Brian Richards in the skull. X-odus appears on the screen and slams the chair to the ground. Michael Cole has already ran out of the room as Brian Richards staggers around from the blow. X-odus grabs Richards and locks his arms. He then plants Richards into the chair on the floor. As X-odus stands up, we can see the blood seeping from Richards head onto the chair.]

[Backstage, Brian Richards is furiously looking for X-odus who attacked him earlier. Richards head has been bandaged as he moves along. He spots X-odus coming out of his dressing room and rushes towards him. He catches X-odus with a right to the jaw and then the two start brawling on the ground. Security quickly comes and breaks up the fight, holding both men back. X-odus is forced back inside of his dressing room and we hear a click from inside. Security finally leaves the scene as Richards spits blood on the door. Richards then turns around to head back to his dressing room when he's catch with a second steel chair for the night. Richards falls to the ground in obvious pain as Crymson stands in front of him with a chair in one hand and a sledgehammer in the other. The World champion places the chair on Richards chest and then drives the sledgehammer into it. A high pitched scream is heard throughout the backstage area as Richards writhes in pain. Security retreats back to the area they just left, pulling Crymson away from Richards. Crymson doesn't even make a move towards Richards, he just smiles like a lunatic and then starts ranting.]
Crymson - You think that's the special thing I have for you Brian, that's just a small taste. If you're even able to compete tonight, then someone is definately looking out for you. I don't care if you win or not, you're ass belongs to me!
[Crymson walks away from security as the EMTs once again rush into the scene to tend to Richards who is in extreme amounts of pain.]

[Just before the start of the Rumble match we are taken to the back where we see Brian Richards gearing up for his shot. He still has his ribs taped from the brutal attack from Smackdown. He looks around and finds his European title and picks it up. He puts it over his shoulder and walks out of his locker room. He starts to walk down the hall when he bumps into the ICWF Women's champion Krystal as she makes her way through the halls after her dissapointing match. Brian just looks at her as she walks past him. Suddenly he smiles and watches her walk all the way down the hall. He then turns and continues walking down the hall when he bumps into Michael Cole.]
Michael Cole - Brian Richards...after what you did on Smackdown to Crymson and X-odus, was uncalled for. You had no justification to do what you did to those two, and you got what you deserved from Matt Roberts!
[Richards' smile turns into a face of anger as he looks straight at Michael Cole without blinking.]
