For those who may be interested, here are some additional details about the "Civic Action For Your Turf" (CA4YT) website -- [A] As you can see, this page is very simple. Except for the single header image (our fiddling racoon), its unadorned with graphics, music, or other fancy decorations. That's because it was created with templates intended for use by folks with minimal computer knowledge & skills. Although this arrangement permits easy construction of a basic web page with title, text, topic list, and links, it doesn't provide flexibility for adding much in the way of "whiz-bang" features. (For example, this non-HTML version allows text to be entered only in a single block; it doesn't even have provision for line-breaks to separate paragraphs.) Very spartan -- but it works, and its free !! [B] This Bare Bones approach was used was used in order to demonstrate what can be done with a "freebie" website and Message Boards that anyone (maybe you?) can use to create similar Internet resources: (1) to support constructive Civic Action efforts in their (your?) own area(s) of operation, and/or (2) for direct use by members of the clientele(s) being served. [C] You may notice some anomalies in abbreviations & terminology used in the Message Board titles, and in certain other places. These were necessitated by formatting limitations. Actual typographical errors, where identified, will be corrected. But, in most cases, the unusual abbreviations you'll see could not be helped. Normally, you won't have to cope with minor glitches of this sort when posting items to the Message Boards. [D] If you have suggestions for improving this website (which are workable within the limitations outlined above) and/or any of the linked Message Boards, you're cordially invited to forward them to the Email address shown at the bottom of this page.
