June 6, 2005 - Monday

Sunny and warm.

An interesting day. I slept in, even though I set my alarm! I ended up turning off my cellphone. I finally got up a lot later than I planned. I did my laundry and discovered a new treat for myself.

When I lived in Scotland, one of my favourite things to eat was hazelnut yogurt. I've never been able to find it anywhere else. Well, today I took some of my plain yogurt, and added some of my sugarfree hazelnut syrup. Bingo! It was awesome. It didn't have pieces of hazelnut, but other than that, it was great.

I went out in the afternoon to S-Mall. I did a bit of shopping, buying things there that I can't get during the week. I also ended up having a drink at Doutors before I biked home. I got home just as Fumihiko called me.

He came home and we went first to dinner at our favourite restaurant. However, when we got there it was closed! Oh no. What to do? We decided to go somewhere else, but first we went to the mall to pick up my pants. We got them and left the mall. That's when a puzzling thing happened.

As we were leaving the mall, I saw one of my ex-students. I started smiling, but I saw that she saw me,then she pulled her hat down so that I *couldn't* see her. That was really strange. If she didn't want to talk to me she could have just said "hi" and moved on, but to pretend that I didn't see her, and vice versa, not very nice at all. I thought I had a good relationship with her.

Anyway, we drove to Tsuruoka to go for dinner. We went to the Evil Place again. It was okay, I didn't overeat as much as Fumihiko did!

We went for groceries then, and came back home. At home, Fumihiko made coffee and then we tried to make our bed. We had to find the pillowcases and the stuff for summer. It's getting really hot here at night.

When we finished, Fumihiko suggested putting on a movie, so he did. We watched his new DVD of Scary Movie 3, which wasn't scary but was quite funny. I laughed a lot. Maybe I just need to get out more.

And that's it. My day. It was pretty good, except for that one puzzling incident. I'm back to work tomorrow. Talk to you tomorrow night.

Bye!
