March 19, 2003 - Wednesday

Started out as a nice day, but ended up a bit rainy and windy.

My day started out like most of them lately. It was okay. I took a shower at the apartment, but when I was drying off, the doorbell rang. I was a bit fearful in case it was the NHK collector! I kind of hid, but they could hear my TV and see me moving around. I wasn't dressed yet, so I didn't want to go to the door. I thought they'd give up and go away eventually, but they didn't. Finally, I dressed and went to the door. It was only some dumb guy trying to sell condo's or something! As if! I'm sure I'd love to buy a condo.

I left really late for work today, but I rode my bike there. I think I got to the school in about 3 minutes! I was lucky and I made the lights. I rode well I think! However, as always happens when I start riding that bike again, my butt hurts. There's two points under the bike seat that meet one of my parts, and I get a lot of pain until I get used to it. Sigh.

Work was fine today. My little student was very genki today. He was speaking quite good English to anyone that would listen! However, my double class didn't show up at all. Both students called so I wasn't worried, but I was a bit sad about the whole thing.

After school, I did up my paperwork and then got ready to leave. Fumihiko offered to come and get me at the school and drive my bike to the apartment. He didn't have to, but it was a kind offer. I'd also received two pieces of cake during the day and I wanted to take them home for Fumihiko and his Mum. That would have been difficult on my bike!

We came home and had shabu-shabu and watched the news. It's depressing and scary. I don't know what's going to happen. I don't suppose anyone does.

Anyway, I'll be staying at the apartment tomorrow night as Fumihiko has a drinking party and I made plans to go out with my co-workers. So, no update, but don't worry about me. I'll likely be back on Friday night. I hope!

Night night!
