December 28, 2001 - Friday

One of the nicest days that I spent in a long time!

This morning I got up early with Fumihiko and went to the apartment. I tried to nap, but couldn't really. I took a shower and then ate some instant ramen and drank some coffee. I also watched the rest of the videotape. When I was finally ready to leave it was almost 2 pm!

I walked to my school and read the newspaper. I was supposed to be redecorating, but actually I just did a little bit and then went to Jusco to catch the shuttle bus to Mikawa Jusco. It was snowing a lot, so the bus was late.

When I got to Jusco in Mikawa I went shopping. I tried on a lot of clothes. Some were okay, some fitted, but weren't me, and one sweater was just right! I bought it. Hurray!

I went to Seattle's Best Coffee and had some iced tea while I waited for Fumihiko. He called me around 5:15 and then came and joined me.

We went and ordered a quilt for our bed, then went to have supper. We went to an omelet restaurant and had a very spicy but delicious omelet.

After supper we went into the video arcade and played a few games. It was fun. We played Air Hockey, and tied 6 all. It was a hoot. Then we did a driving game. It was fun, and I didn't crash too many times.

When we finished there it was time to go the the movie. We went to see Shrek. It was a real hoot. Mike Myers did a really good job of the lead character and Eddie Murphy was a pretty good donkey. I laughed my head off at it, and I got a lot more of the jokes than anyone else in the theatre did. I'm quite loud when I laugh at movies. Sometimes I think that Fumihiko wishes I wasn't, but when something is funny, I laugh.

We drove home after the movie, and the tank was on empty. I was freaking out in case we actually ran out of gas on one of the country roads around here. On the way home I didn't see one gas station open. I can't believe that. All the gas stations shut down before 10:00 pm. We did make it home, I just hope that he has enough gas to get to the gas station tomorrow!

And that's about it. For some reason we are now watching The Exorcist. It's sort of weird. It's like a time warp to the 70's. They keep blipping out the swear words. It's quite funny.

I'll probably go to bed soon, I'm a bit tired.

It was really nice to just be alone this morning with nothing much to do. I know that that sounds rather bad, but the last few months I've been so darn busy or stressed out that I really needed some down time. I hope I can get some more during this holiday.

Catch me later!
