Note:  The Hot 100 Singles Chart has been in existence since 1955 and charts singles based on monitored airplay from top 40 radio stations and actual sales of the single.  Tracks which have not been commercially released as a single are ineligible (this will change in the near future).  The Modern Rock Tracks Chart has been in existence since late 1988 and charts tracks based on monitored airplay reports from Modern Rock format radio stations (e.g. KROQ in Los Angeles).  The Top 200 Albums Chart has been existence for a very long time and charts all albums (vinyl, cassette, and compact disc) based on sales (currently tracked by SoundScan).
