Famous Fans
Elvis fans are a diverse group of people; from the earliest fans in 1955 to the new fans of today, many whom never saw Elvis in person. Through the years there have been Elvis fans who have stood out from the crowd for various reasons. They may have run a fan club or started an Elvis magazine. Or they may have spent hours waiting for Elvis to show up at his front gate so they could take snapshots of him. Because I became an active fan in 1960, I became acquainted with many of these special fans. This section will spotlight some of the ones that I remember. Most of these fans have disappeared from the Elvis scene, but a few are still around today.
