"people aren't sounds, are they?" - John Cage

I'm a sagittarian, a life-long denizen of Halifax and its outskirts. To be specific, I was raised beside a Rocky Lake with a pleasant lake view. I began playing bass because of the Clash and the Pixies. The bass guitar appeals to me because of the extent to which it can contain both rhythmic and melodic elements simultaneously. That, and it's easy to tune. I collect recordings, houseplants, and shiny things. I could listen to the entire repertoire of the House of Love, Brian Eno, Talking Heads, and Cocteau Twins repeatedly. Stereolab and Strawberry are both great live. I spent this summer riding my silver 1979 Vespa and working on my tennis game. I listen to oldies AM radio... How personal is this supposed to get?
