J. Andrew Watt

A "self-taught, late bloomin' piano player," Andrew produced Hooray for Everything before becoming a member of the Heavy Blinkers. The famed producer of such diverse acts as North of America, the Holiday Snaps, and Stinkin Rich & Jerry Granelli, Andrew is the man behind both Sustain Recording and (along with his partner John Bateman) Pleasant Street Records. Andrew's love of music stretches back to his first LP purchase, Cheap Trick's 1977 sophomore kick at the can, In Color (And In Black and White), and reaches through to his latest finished work, the debut album from the Guthries.

Armed with his Farfisa and a Bachelor of Design in Environment Planning from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, John Andrew Watt is ready for huge success, and he is currently working on a Monkees tribute album featuring legendary Halifax musicians Mike O'Neill (formerly of the Inbreds) and Leonard Conan, among others.
