December thru March is the annual gray whale migration.
It takes place off the Pacific coast from the Bering Strait in Alaska
to the lagoons of Central Baja California, Mexico.
These breathtaking mammals make the
4000 mile journey to raise their calves and breed.
Good news from the corporate world
as well as the Mexican government!
President Ernesto Zedillo of Mexico
and James Brumm V.P. of North American Operations for Mitsubishi, in a joint decision, chose not to build
a salt mining operation in pristine Laguna San Ignacio, one of the
main breeding grounds for the gray whale.
An EXTREMELY
large THANK YOU
to all involved in this decision. It is truly admirable of both
Mitsubishi and the Mexican government!
Don't miss a once in a lifetime chance
to see the migration of the gray whale December thru March.
