Our family has 1 dog & 4 cats, total. We have a beautiful American Pit Bull Terrier. Her name is Mary Jane. She is two years & 5 months old now. She is a deep red fawn with a white blaze on her face, a black nose & a white chest with some white toes. Mary is a very well-behaved dog. She minds us pretty good even if there is a strange cat that is available for chasing. Mary never hurts them, she's just in it for the chase, especially if they run up a tree. But, if the cat stops & chases her, she's in the house before you know it. Mary now weighs in at 84 1/2 lbs. She's a "BIG" girl! We think she's a great looking dog. We get so many compliments from people who think she's beautiful too & they always ask if we're going to let her have puppies, they always want one. Mary Dog & our "BIG" black cat, Memnoch, The Devil Cat are the best of friends. Memnoch thinks Mary Dog is his "Mom". He still tries to nurse on her. These two, though, are not beloved by the 3 other cats in our household.
We have the 4 cats all together. The oldest is Little Bit, she is 15 years old. She is a long-haired brown & black tortoiseshell with big yellow eyes. Little Bit was residing on our balcony but now she's living either in the garage or outside. She & Panda are roomies now & they are now getting along as sisters should be. She doesn't care much for the dog but she's quite passive with Memnoch as he likes to hug her & lick her ears which I'm sure she enjoys. She even gets along with Mary Cat.
Next is Little Bit's sister, Panda. She is 14 years old & she is a long-haired black & white green-eyed Persian look-a-like. Panda & Little Bit have a lot more in common than just being sisters. They have both accepted my Mary Cat & Memnoch but poor Mary Dog is still considered the outcast. Panda doesn't tolerate Memnoch's antics much & he knows not to mess with her for very long. The cat food is being served in the garage now due to Mary Dog liking cat food so much! Though, Memnoch enjoys dog food more than the cat food?
Now, I will tell you about Mary Jane the cat, & yes, I know the dog has the same name but I have two daughters' (Tiffany & Lorelei) that liked the same name??? Go figure! She was an orphan that I brought home from my job. She is 4 years old now & she too, is a long-haired cat but she's colored in pale shades of gray, cream and white which makes her a calico. Mary the Cat is such a little brat cat. She only loves on my husband, Jeff & I am the one who gives her fresh water daily & feeds her!!! But, when it comes time to remove the knotted hair masses from around her neck & tummy then she is definitely all his.
Last, but not least, is our latest orphan. His name is Memnoch, the Little Devil Cat! He is only 1 year & 9 months old right now & has completely surpassed all our other kitties in size. He weighs in at 18 lbs. He has very short-hair & he's totally black with a white tuft on his chest & he has glowing yellow eyes. Sometimes he startles me in the dark. He likes to hang off the loft & grab you as you walk either up or down the stairs. Memnoch is unusual in the fact that he has 4 front paws, not extra toes, mind you. He has two actual & very active paws on each front leg. It gives him the appearance of wearing mitts. We had him neutered as soon as he was old enough only because our veterinarian said we'd hate him if we didn't as he is very energetic & he can be quite ornery but yet, he is also very loving. Every morning he pesters me for kisses & hugs.
