Revelation 19

Celebration

Rev 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

A great voice, people in heaven together before the coming of Christ to the earth saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

Rev 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

These were the saints who came out of the great tribulation.

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

This was a time of celebration for the people who suffered in the world under the antichrist and were martyred. Perhaps the raptured church was here too, perhaps some were included in Rev 6.

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

The martyrs speak the highest word of praise: Aleluia (praise ye the LORD)

Rev 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

In Revelation 18, Babylon's friends mourned her fall; but here, God's people celebrate it. The smoke of the evil that was the world system, shall receive everlasting torment. The fire shall burn forever. Is there any earthly pleasure worth eternal torment?

Rev 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

The twenty four elders and the four angels, or heavenly creatures that were in the throne room, fell down worshipping God who sat on the throne, saying, Amen; (truly) Aleluia.

Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

Perhaps the voice was Jesus. The world mourned the destruction of Babylon as the angels and saints shouted praises.

Marriage feast of the Lamb

Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Wow! All heaven breaks forth in praise. God reigns, he is the all mighty God of all. He is omnipotent, all powerful. Jesus is about to be united with his people and a true new world order is about to happen. We hear of "the new world order" which is nothing but the preparation for the antichrist. When Jesus comes He will put the world back in order. All are praising with a loud voice from the depths of their beings.

In our churches, worship is often according to tradition. Some worship with quiet order, a quiet worship. This can be appropriate at some times. Others worship loudly, sometimes it is only flesh, But at times it is with a whole heart. Some jump and run and dance, according to church acceptance, if it is from a heart, let it be. In heaven it is all good, all pure praise from glorified beings and it is in unity.

Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

There is great joy in heaven, because it is time for the marriage of the Lamb; the joining to his people from earth who were made spiritual beings, through faith in their Lord Jesus Christ.

"In Biblical times a marriage involved two major events, the betrothal and the wedding. These were normally separated by a period of time during which the two individuals were considered husband and wife and as such were under the obligations of faithfulness. The wedding began with a procession to the bride's house, which was followed by a return to the house of the groom for the marriage feast. By analogy, the church, espoused to Christ by faith, now awaits the parousia when the heavenly groom will come for his bride and return to heaven for the marriage feast which lasts throughout eternity." (Mounce)

Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

The wedding garment is the righteousness of Christ. He has made her clean by His word and by his shed blood for her sins. She herself has made her daily walk clean; purity, loyalty, faithfulness. She was made clean by the blood of the Lamb and white, by her being glorified with him. New glorified heavenly bodies to follow him back to earth for a thousand years and for eternity with him in the new Jerusalem. The new Jerusalem is also clean and pure as the bride.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

A holy place for a holy people to dwell with the anointed Groom, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Father of the groom, Almighty God.

Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Jesus Himself eagerly anticipates this marriage supper. He spoke longingly of the day when He will drink of the fruit of the vine again, with His disciples in the kingdom.

Mat 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

On that day, everyone will see the church for what she really is: the precious bride of Jesus. "The Bride of Christ is a sort of Cinderella now, sitting among the ashes. She is like her Lord, 'despised and rejected of men'; the watchmen smite her, and take away her veil from her; for they know her not, even as they knew not her Lord. But when he shall appear, then shall she appear also, and in his glorious manifestation she also shall shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of the Father." (Spurgeon)

These are the true sayings of God.

John wants us to know for sure that the feast is real, not a fairy tale. This is not some made up false hope like so many religions, with fairies, gods and goddesses, This is a true event that shall take place at the end of the world.

No angel worship

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

John worshipped the messenger, an angel, and was told to stop. Angels are fellowservants. Worship God not angels. Angels are creations of God and we are not to worship the creation.

Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Any prophecy that does not glorify Jesus, is false. He is the one the Spirit testifies of. A prophesy is truth, by God's Spirit of truth.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Too many are following angel spirit guides from the devil. They receive twisted messages that do not follow the truth of the Bible. Let no one fool you by promises of evolving to a higher existence. It is all demonic New Age false teaching.

Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

The Names of Jesus

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

John looked into heaven in his vision. He was seeing future events. Behold a white horse; and he that sat on it was called Faithful and True. From the world's movies we might think of a cowboy hero the Lone Ranger; a law abiding person seeking justice, enforcing the law. There is one much greater then this fictional character coming and he has never broken the law, he is the perfect Son of God. He that sat upon the white horse is Faithful and True. Note that the names are actual names, capitalized. As God the Son, He is faithful and he keeps his promises. He came from the Father, with the character of His Father, God.

He is Faithful

Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

2 Th 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

He is True

John 3:33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

The first mention of eyes was in Genesis:

Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Knowing good from evil is judgment.

There is only one man without sin who is judge of all: Jesus Christ, son of man and Son of God. He has been given all judgment.

Eyes as a flame of fire represents fiery judgment, from the Judge, Jesus Christ.

Prov 5:21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
Prov 5:22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Mat 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

and on his head were many crowns

He had all authority as king of Kings and the Son of God.

Rev 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The twenty four elders were those respected by men as leaders. They throughtheir crowns at the feet of Jesus, in worship. What honor and glory do we have? It is to be surrendered to Jesus, who is Master of all.

Mat 7:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Jesus came the first time as a humble servent, the Lamb of God who took upon himself the sins of the world. He shall return again as triumpant king and judge and ruler of all.

and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

No man can know God, nor His Son, unless it be revealed to them by the Spirit of God through the Word of God. Names are revealed to us in time. Looking back we see a name:

Mat 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Mat 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Mat 27:11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

John 19:19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
John 19:20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
John 19:21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
John 19:22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

Jesus was accused of being the king of the Jews and this was used as the reason to execute him. They called it blaspheme. We know that he was true and faithful and just. Jesus has many names revealed in the Bible and yet there are more we shall learn of Him, for His glory is without end.

Victory

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

John describes in metaphors what he saw, as he saw Jesus coming as King on the white horse.

His vesture, His garment or robe, was dipped in blood. The blood shed at Calvary for our sins, the blood that defeated the power of satan; and another name is given: The Word of God.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Can you see who Jesus is? Where are you in regard to Jesus? Have you His victory? Hear Paul, about this.

2 Cor 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
2 Cor 5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
2 Cor 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2 Cor 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

We are the Lord's people. To be absent in this life places us with Jesus. We shall return with him in victory! We are in God's army, whether in this body now, or returning with him and the angels.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

That's us, the saints of God who have gone to heaven, by death or by the rapture. We shall be clothed in white linen, glorified with him, white and clean with no sin or memories of sin to stain our minds or bodies.

Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.

We are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, now and forever. We are the Lord's mighty army, not by our flesh or will, but by the Spirit and will of Almighty God. Feeling defeated? Stand up and take up your sword and shield. Prepare your hearts and minds for the victory in Jesus.

KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Out of the mouth of Jesus came the spoken word, the sword of the spirit. By His Word he will judge the nations.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

It will be God's righteous judgment of the nations. There will no longer be unrighteous leaders, dictators and kings doing their own will. The King of Kings shall rule the nations. Those who are evil shall be crushed as the grapes of wrath; he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

His true name: Faithful and True; KING OF KINGS. AND LORD OF LORDS. All hail the mighty Son of God come in Majesty and Glory.

Jesus has other names, many only he knows:

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

God the Father and the Son, share their names and glory.

Dan 2:47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

1 Tim 6:13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
1 Tim 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1 Tim 6:15 Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Satan tried to take God's glory upon himself and through satan, many are tempted to be as gods, having their own glory. When Jesus shall come, all those who seek self glory apart from God, shall be crushed. He comes with a rod of iron to rule the nations in righteousness and glory.

It saddens me to see New Age religion and other false ways replacing the God of our country. Our nation was founded on the principles of the word of God. The rebellion of the 1960's has as it's goal to replace the traditions and values of our nation, including the Christian faith. To recreate America; no longer a land of moral values, but a nation of pagans. We are seeing the result as darkness is covering our land. God still has a remnant who serve him, but many will rush to the beast who will promise peace and prosperity. All these shall be destroyed and those that are of God in Jesus Christ, shall live forever.

The Mighty Word of God

Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

An angel clothed in light summoning the birds of the air, the buzzards, the hawks, the ravens, the owls, all that eat meat, and to all the fowls that fly in the heavens; high flying birds search the ground for food. There will be a feast of dead flesh at the coming of the LORD.

Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

All will be killed that have not God's Spiritual seal, those under the blood of the Lamb. It will be too late to repent. Every opportunity had been given, but they would not.

Psa 81:11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
Psa 81:12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
Psa 81:13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
Psa 81:14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
Psa 81:15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
Psa 81:16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

Jesus is our rock and his word is as honey to our soul.

Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

The beast, the final antichrist, the man of sin, the son of perdition. The devil in a man summons all the earth's mighty men to fight against him that sat on the horse. The demons and principalities and powers of the air join with them.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

The beast and the false prophet were immediately cast alive and they shall remain alive in agony, into the lake of fire with the smelly burning brimstone, or sulfur. The smell of rotten eggs.

Dan 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Jesus, the Word of God, broke the power of satan, the beast, without hand. He spoke and it was so.

Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Those who remained, the kings and mighty armies, also were slain without hand, by the sword. The sword coming forth from the mouth of God the Son, the Word of God. Those who think today, that the Word is foolishness; who prefer their own words, their thoughts from evil sources and evil ideas, shall be judged by the very word they despise. I love the Word of God.

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

1 Cor 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1 Cor 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1 Cor 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1 Cor 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Cor 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1 Cor 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1 Cor 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1 Cor 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1 Cor 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1 Cor 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1 Cor 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1 Cor 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
1 Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1 Cor 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
