Discipling

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Many are called , few respond and have enough desire to receive what God has for them. God must first call, then we respond.

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Interesting to apply the plowing of the field and a straight walk, with the plowing of hearts, softening them to receive the word. We are plowing, but that is just to prepare the soil to accept the seed. We must continue, sowing seed and watering and then we reap the harvest. We cannot be half hearted and change our mind, to go in another direction, being led by fleshly desires rather than following the Lord in obedience.

Take up your cross, die to your human impulses and reasoning, get in line with God's word. Walk the strait way, throwing out the word in an orderly fashion.

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

The seed must be pure seed, not infested with bugs or weed seeds. It is God's seed, not to be mixed with the worlds corruption. If we continue, following, digging deep into Gods seed, being faithful, then we will see the reward of our labors. We do not serve ourselves, using our seeds, if so? we make disciples, flawed as we are. Many churches make flawed disciples, because the leaders are not using God's pure seed and following in obedience. Keep your eyes on Jesus, his Spirit guides us into his truth. Seek not your one way, wear the cross, the wooden yoke that is shared with Jesus and follow him.

Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
