| Political Stances |
| The Devorae Imperium stands as a sovereign nuetral power. Interference with Official Imperium Dictates are considered aggressive stances against the Imperium. We shall expand through economic paths through the security provided by the military's Maelstrom Divisions. Imperium laws may be considered harsh and justice may be seen as severe, but these are the laws influenced by Devorae warrior-codes of honor. Other empires, alliance, or species that enter within Imperium borders are subject to our laws. Order will be maintained within the Imperium and any interference with Imperium decisions or politics will be met by force. All treaties of Trade Alliance or higher are considered favorable and relations will be treated as accordingly. The Maelstrom Divisions are available for support to our allies and at times available for supplementing military forces of those who request our assistance. Military support to partnerships and military alliances must be ultimately approved by the First Lord or majority vote of High Lords. |
| Partnership |
| This represents a strong connection worthy of providing unlimited trade, free use of space lanes, technology exchange, and apporved military support. Although difficult to obtain, its often based on trust and sharing of important and often politically sensitive information. Ususally a foundation of worthy actions must be demonstrated to First Lord Azeroth or a reputation of trustworthiness. Military support to partnerships must be ultimately approved by the First Lord or majority vote of High Lords. |
| Military Alliance |
| Only strong nations or empires that can contribute significantly during combat are worthy of this type of treaty. We aware of hidden forces that wish to see our Imperium fall but we actively seek those who wish to help us. In return we provide our elite forces for their conflicts. Our forces are combat-hardened and led by competant and experienced Lords and are ready to be honored in battle. Our forces are 100% available and operational to those Military alliances that request our assisstance. We honor our military treaties but obviously as long as it does not compromise our Partnerships or political stances. Also military support to must be ultimately approved by the First Lord or majority vote of High Lords. |
| Trade & Research |
| Increased trade as well as technological sharing is the purpose of this treaty. These treaties covey feeling of good-will and availablity to each other. Goods and cultural exchange is a base of trade and research. Devorae borders are open to Trade and research species. Unfortunately no type of military trade is permitted to occur since this would be in violation to both empires. |
| Trade Alliance |
| A basic economic alliance allowing the flow of goods and the promise of safe space lanes. Many empires that are new often request this alliance in order not be targeted by larger aggressive empires, such as ours. We view the trade alliance as a non-militaristic way of increasing both economies without having hostile intentions. Be forewarned, a trade alliance that is terminated is often a sign of hostility on either part of the empires. Trade sanctions sometimes are followed by Blockading, skirmishes, or invasions. Sometimes, trade alliance can occur between our allie's enemies but this is purely for economic benefits and not a strong indicator of our political support for them. |
| Non-Aggression |
| A rare treaty since we believe in death-honor through battle. Non-Agressions are often signed purely for political motives. A first step toward better relations or a promise to not engage in combat since it would be likely to devestate both sides. Non-Agressions are short-lived since they are upgraded or result in "cold war" relationships. |
| Non-Intercourse |
| A stern warning to the nation not to enter our realm or interfere with the Imperium or its actions. Foreign ships will be confiscatied and the crews held for interrogation before deportation or judgement. Holding this treaty often provides relief from our military movements and it would be a rare occasion for us to break this treaty on our own without reason, since the usual tension that already exists would have already resulted in war. A cold war is in effect. |
| War |
| Above all no cheating. Although at war, we usually treat our enemies with respect since they are willing to fight and not act like cowards. A warning is now given to those who hold no respect for the Devorae Imperium for they shall be met in combat and suffer death without honor. The survivors will experience punishments and they will wish for an immediate destruction. Agressive stances taken against the Imperium, wether passive or active, are reason for war. Diplomatic efforts will be taken and force is used as a last resort. Not responding in a timely manner to treaty proposal offered by our Diplomatic Services or Ambassadors are taken as insult to the Imperium. Any response is better than simply ignoring the Imperium. |
