Telepaths and empaths are unable to sense Devorae presence, thoughts, or feelings. This trait enabled Devorae to overcome the extemely powerful Arcturan Psionic Monks. Extreme resistance to cold enviroments as low as -112 Farenheiht but prefer freezing temperatures of 20-40 farenheit. Devorae emit cold from thier nuerons therefore are virtually invisible in infra-red spectrum detection systems. No blood or circulation system and no heart. Very dense and complex neuro-structure with a double spinal cord running bilaterally. Possess sixth-sense abilities that warn of impending danger. Traits:A very honorable but aggressive species that has been a space-faring nomadic race for over 8000 years. Their fleets consist of thousands of ships of all classes and have been on a quest to find thier ancestral homeworld. Recently they found ancient Devorae artifacts upon Arcturus and essentially wiped out the Arcturan Empire to reclaim sacred systems. Led by a First Lord then advisors called Preceptors then Magistrates. Society is divided into divisions called Sects that do have a social mobility based upon Rites of Passage and a feudalistic government. Devorae colonies are spread throughout the galaxy explored for eons, but now since the homeworld was discovered, many are coming to settle in the Devorae Realm. Their whole existance has been based as a space-nomadic culture and therefore Devorae feel that space is their "real" home. They view it as others may view the sky or an ocean as thier area of existance. The Fleets are divided into 2 major forces; The Advanced Scout Fleet and the Maelstrom. The Advanced scout fleet consist of various ships form other cultures that incorporate Devorae technology and the Maelstrom is the name given to the main battlefleets. |
