STRIPED PONCHO

Copywrite 2005, Carrie Viskozki. This pattern is provided for your personal use only. Please do not copy to another web site without permission.

The poncho is a traditional South American garment. For those fluent in Spanish there are other names for the poncho which are only used in certain areas. For example, in central Chile the poncho is called a chamanto but in other parts of Chile the word poncho is used. Most Spanish-speaking people worldwide still use the word poncho to describe this functional and decorative garment.
