CERTIFICATION FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY PROFESSIONAL

ASSE has distributed information regarding a new Certification for Health and Safety professional.  The program is offered through the Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC) which is an independent non-profit corporation created by the Environmental Auditing Roundtable (EAR) and the Institute of Internal Auditors IIA) to issue certifications relating to environmental auditing and other scientific fields.  The new program is the Health and Safety Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) Certification Program.  This introductory period will provide safety and health practitioners with an opportunity to qualify for the new certification WITHOUT taking an examination (grand-fathering).  Information is available on the BEAC web site at http://www.beac.org/ or by calling 407-831-7727.
