JORDAN, Janie Lillian - 89, Valley View Villa, Riverton,
formerly of New Town, Guysborough Co.,
died Monday, April 13, 1998, in the villa.
Born in Smithfield,
she was a daughter of the late Levi and Catherine (MacIntosh) Cruickshank.
She has been a resident of New Town for all of her married life.
She was a member of Glenelg Presbyterian Church;
New Town-Denver Women's Institute;
the Rose Auxiliary of Glenelg Presbyterian Church;
former member of Sunlight Rebekah Lodge 110, ERSM, and
former member of the Red Cross Society.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
After the death of her husband, she had worked as a companion to the elderly.
Left to mourn are a loving daughter, Kathleen (Kaye) and husband Raymond MacKay, Willowdale;
loving son, William (Bill) and wife Virginia Jordan, New Town and Florida;
loving grandchildren, Colin and Ruth MacKay, Willowdale and Danvers, Mass.;
Glenn and Kim MacKay, Sandy and Beverly MacKay, all of Willowdale;
Wendy MacLean, New Glasgow;
Robbie and Cindy Livingstone, MacPhersons Mills;
loving great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jennifer, John Henry, Jill Leslee, J.J. and Samantha MacKay, Mandy MacLean, Raylene, Darcy and Rick Livingstone.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Henry Jordan,
brothers, Harry, George and Otto Cruickshank;
sisters, Ettie Smith, Dora Fulton and Ena (MacQuarrie) Cameron.
Her remains are resting at H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with visitation today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Glenelg Presbyterian Church,
Trudy G. Meyer officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Aspen.
Donations in her memory, may be made to Valley View Villa, Riverton;
Glenelg Presbyterian Church or to the charity of one's choice.
