RHYNOLD, ARTHUR BAKER - 81,
of Whitehead, Guysborough Co. passed away Friday October 22 1999,
in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso . Born in Phillip’s Harbour,
he was a son of the late David and Elizabeth (Duncan) Rynold
and a stepson of the late Samuel Pothier.
He was a veteran of the Second World War.
A lifelong resident of Whitehead, he was a former fisherman
and carpenter and was employed with Transport Canada until retirement.
He also was a warden of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Whitehead.
He is survived by his wife, the former Nettie Ward;
sons Fred (Martha) and Will (Pat), both of Canso;
daughter, Mary (Mrs. Foster Lohnes), Dartmouth; sister Helen (Mrs. Floyd George),
Halfway Cove; grandchildren, David, Natasha, Raelene, Rhea,
Tanya, Mark, Krista and Toni; great granddaughter, Samantha.
He was predeceased by brothers, Wilfred, Carl and Clarence;
sister Thelma Ehler, and granddaughter Shannon Lohnes.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday
in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Whitehead
from where funeral services will take place 11 a.m. Monday,
with Archdeacon Peter McRae officiating. Burial will be in
Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Whitehead. Family flowers only please.
Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to the G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
