Hendsbee, Mamie Marguerite

74, Half Island Cove, died February 2, 1997,
in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Half Island Cove,
she was a daughter of the late Stephen
and Beatrice (Greencorn ) Greencorn.
She was a member of Half Island Cove Baptist Church
and life long member of the ladies auxiliary of Chedubacto Fire Department.
Surviving are daughters, Lucinda (Mrs. Ronald Griffiths), Halifax;
Jeanette (Mrs. James MacDonald), Cooks Cove; Paulette (Mrs. Floyd Andrews),
Antigonish; Marion (Mrs. Wayne Hendsbee), Half Island Cove;
Doris (Mrs. Leonard Creamer), Half Island Cove; Brenda
(Mrs. William Richard), Canso; Donna (Mrs. Dorian Casey), Little Dover;
sons, Doug, Brantford, Ont; Havelock, Wallace, John, Half Island Cove;
Seward, Barrie, Ont; Michael, Philips Harbour; sisters
Mrs. Evelyn Creamer, Milford Haven Home, Guysborough; Mrs. Beulah Creamer,
Philips Harbour; brothers, Murray, Port Williams; Howard,
Half Island Cove; 40 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband George S., sisters Hazel, Dale;
brother, Hughie; grandchildren, Edith, Charlene.
Funeral was held in Half Island Cove Baptist Church,
Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Bay View Cemetery,
Half Island Cove. Donations made
to Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Arrangements entrusted
to Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso.
