Mrs. Jane Taylor

STILLWATER, Sept. 27. - One of the oldest residents of this town
Jane Archibald Taylor, widow of Emery Taylor,
passed away at home here Sept. 24th,in her 97th year.
She had been an invalid for several years,
and was tenderly cared for by her daughter,
Mrs. John McKeen, with whom she resided.
The late Mrs. Taylor was a member of a well known pioneer family,
her father, Henry C. Archibald, being a direct descendant of Samuel Archibald
who settled in Truro in -----
and her mother was Caroline ---shaw of Antigonish.

She was born at Glenelg, Guysborough County,
one of a family of eleven of whom two survive--
Howard Archibald, aged 93 of Denver,
and Mrs. Charlotte ---- of Halifax, aged 90 years.
--children survive, Mrs. John K---Keen, Stillwater;
Mrs. Frank -----
Mrs. William Green, both of --- Waterford, Maine;
and Charles __ lor of Albro Lake, Halifax county----
also ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
