JONES,FREDERICK OTHO - 78,
Argyle, Guys. Co; died Sat., Aug. 14,1999 at home.
Born in North Ogden, Guys.Co; he was a son of the late
John Joseph and Martha Ann(Munroe)Jones.
He served in the Second World War as a paratrooper
with the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion. He owned and operated
his own garage in Country Harbour. He had a long outstanding career
with Alex Irvine Motors in Scarborough, Ont.
and farmed cattle in later years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, the former Dorothy (Wilson);
sons, Gregory Allan Gammom(Meralynne), Dartmouth,
grandsons, Ryan and Braeden; Gary William Gammom (Julie), Bermuda,
grandchildren Gary Jr., and Melanie; daughter-in-law, Gaile Gammon,
Antigonish, grand- daughters April, Sandi; sisters,
Margaret(Mrs.Clarence Hudson), Antigonish, Clara (Mrs.Fred Rhynold), Whitehead;
Annie(Mrs.Roland Worth), Merland; Martha(Mrs.Donald Cameron), Boston;
brother, Gordon, Niagara Falls, Ont; He was predeceased by his first wife,
Christina Hodgson; son George Gammon; daughter,
Sandra Lee in infancy; brothers, John, William, George, Leonard.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday in Zion United Church,
Country Harbour, Rev. Bob Manly officiating.
Burial in Hillside Cemetery.
Family requests family flowers only.
Memorial donations may be made to
St. Martha's Regional Hospital. Arrangements entrusted
to G.W. Giffen Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
