Williams, Russell Sherwin - 78,
Guysborough, died May 13, 1993,
in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in West Cook's Cove, Guysborough County,
he was a son of the late George and Gertrude (Dickie) Williams.
He was a retired carpenter. A veteran of the Second World War,
he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch 81, Guysborough; Guysborough Volunteer Fire Department
and an adherent of Wesley United Church, Guysborough.
He is survived by a daughter, Marie (Mrs. Gerald Brymer),
Guysborough; son, Ralph, Boylston; three sisters,
Mrs. Cassie Worth, Cook's Cove, Mrs. Dolena Hiltz, Kemptville; Mrs. Doris Black,
Baddeck; two brothers, Hartley, Guysborough; Charles, Steep Creek;
three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lena MacKay;
four sisters, Nina Mary, Rose, Ruth; two brothers,
Whitney, Oscar. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today
in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday
in Wesley United Church, Guysborough, Mr. Donald Britt officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
