John Charles MacIsaac
John Charles MacIsaac,
aged and esteemed resident of Guysborough County
and father of Rev. James MacIsaac,
pastor of Saint Theresa's parish,
Ashby,
died Friday at the family home at Giant's Lake.
His passing
followed a comparatively brief illness
and occasioned widespread regret
throughout Guysborough County
where he resided practically all his life
and in many parts of Antigonish Co.
Deceased was held in the highest
regard by
a wide circle of friends, relatives and general
acquaintances.
The funeral Mass Monday was celebrated by
Father
MacIsaac, who was called home the previous week
by his father's
illness. Besides his widow,
the late Mr. MacIsaac is survived by three
daughters,
including, Rev. Sr. Mary of the Trinity, Superior of St.
Joseph's Hospital,
Glace Bay; Rev. Sr. Felicitas, mistress of novices at
the Mother House,
Bethany, at Antigonish, and a married daughter on the
old homestead.
Another son lives in the United States.
