Mary MacNeil

At Giant's Lake, Monday, Jan. 9, 1933,
Mary, widow of the late Donald MacNeil
at the advanced age of 90 years and ten months.
The deceased was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Allan MacPherson, MacPherson's P.O.
After receiving the last sacraments of Holy Mother Church
of which she was always a devout member
she passed away peacefully to her eternal reward.
Mrs. MacNeil was a woman of the home, an ideal wife
and mother, in her quiet and unassuming manner.
She was actively interested in the religious life
of the community and with the welfare of her neighbor.
She, with her husband who predeceased her by 20 years,
toiled and struggled through the trials and hardships of life
and reared a large family who mourn the loss
of a kind and loving mother. One son and one daughter
predeceased her. The surviving members of her family are
four sons and three daughters: John,
Peter, and Allan J. in the U.S.A.;
Archie J. on the old homestead; Mrs. D.A. MacIsaac,
Giant's Lake; Mrs. J.L. MacDonald, South River;
and Miss. Mary MacNeil, U.S.A.
Two brothers; Angus and John A. MacPherson,
MacPherson's P.O.; and one sister; Mrs. John H. MacDnald,
Dunmore, also survive. The funeral at the church
and grave was attended by Rev. Angus Bryden.
