Allan Alfred Cooke

COOKE, Allan Alfred - 51,
26 Cocoa Ave., Dartmouth, died July 18, 1993,
in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Isaac's Harbour,
Guysborough County, he was a son of Bertha (Langille) Cooke
and the late Edison Cooke. He was a seaman
for the Department of Transportation and the Department of Defence
auxiliary vessels before taking medical retirement in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, the former Patsy Ann Luddington;
son, Timothy Allan, at home; two daughters,
Loretta Lynn, Nova Marie, both at home; eight brothers,
Howard, Terence Bay; Albert, Edison Jr., Raymond, all of Isaac's Harbour;
Cecil, Eight Island Lake; Jackie, Dartmouth; Arnold, Porters Lake;
Wayne, Calgary; five sisters, Alice (Mrs. Lawrence Peters), Winnipeg;
Florence (Mrs. Russel Munroe), Whitehead; Joyce, (Mrs. Wilson Avery),
Lundy; Ilene (Mrs. Richard Hudson), Country Harbour;
Verna (Mrs. Arthur Steeves), Timberlea; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Douglas.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home,
Country Harbour . Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday
in Isaac's Harbour United Baptist Church, Rev. Horace Gardner officiating.
Burial will be in Isaac's Harbour Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch,
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or
Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation for research into Fabrys Disease.
