Samuel Knight Jarvis - 68, Canso,
died Oct.18, 1993, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso.
Born in North Dighton, Mass.,
he was the son of the late Charles and May (Mair) Jarvis.
He was a retired construction office manager;
veteran of the Second World War,
serving with the RCNVR on mine sweepers
and torpedo boats; former member of the Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch 46, Canso; superintendent of Fourth Hill Cementery
and an adherent to St.Paul's United Church, Canso.
He is survived by his wife, the former June Bushell;
two daughters, Paula (Mrs. Michael Fredericks),
Lower Sackville; Kimberly Jarvis, Bridgewater;
sister, Gertrude (Mrs.Harold MacKenzie), Canso;
brother, Harry, Whitehead; three grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
