Mildred P. Snowe 13 - Upper White Head,
July 19, 1945 - There passed away at St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish
on July 5, Mildred Pauline, 13 year old daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Spurgeon Snowe of Upper White Head.
The cause of the death being (cerebro spinal meningitis)
she was kind and loving disposition and will be greatly missed
by her young friends, expecially her school mates.
Besides her sorrowing parents she leaves to mourn her loss 10 sisters and two brothers;
(Inez) Mrs John Schrader, Fox Island; (Bernice) Mrs. L. Smith, Amy, Irene,
Winnifread, Florence, Shirley, Hope, Roxannna, and Jean.
The brothers are James and Donald, all of whom
were at home to attend the funeral. She was prepared for burial
at McIsaac's Furneral parlors at Antigonish.
The funeral was held on Sunday from the home of her parents.
It being the largest ever known here.
The service at the house and church was conducted by Rev. J. Neilson.
Interment was in the family lot at the Baptist Cemetery at Upper White Head.
The floral offerings were many showing the love
and respect in which the young girl was held.
Much sympathy is extended to the sorrowing family.
