GOSBEE, William Edward - 61,
West Cooks Cove, died Sunday in North Ogden
as a result of a boating accident.
Born in West Cooks Cove, he was a son of
the late Joseph and Lexie (Worth) Gosbee.
He was a fisherman and lumberman.
He is survived by his wife, the former Leah Hilchie;
two daughters, Henrietta (Mrs. Leroy Dort), Dorts Cove;
Mrs. Edith Lumsden, West Cooks Cove;
two sons, Howard, Halifax; Edward, Dartmouth;
three sisters, Bertha (Mrs. Harry Silver), Goldboro,
Guysborough County; Stella (Mrs. Gordon MacLeod),
Westville; Mrs. Margaret Zwicker, Dartmouth;
two half-sisters, Mrs. Martha Parker, West Cooks Cove;
Agatha Turcott, Antigonish; two brothers,
Victor, Dartmouth; John, French River;
a half-brother, Joseph, Guysborough;
seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by an infant brother, George.
The body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m.
today in Wesley United Church, Guysborough,
Rev. Evelyn McLachlan officiating.
