FURLONG, Margaret Elizabeth - 65,
Port Hilford, Guysborough County, died Friday
in St. Mary's Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the
late Locke and Althea (Wiggens) Reid.
She was an adherent of Calvary Faith Church, Sonora,
where she served as pianist.
She was a past chartered member of the Women's Institute of Nova Scotia,
a member of the Women's Missionary Society and a retired schoolteacher.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; a son, Peter,
River Glade, N.B.; three daughters, Carol Lynne,
Quito, Ecuador; Elizabeth (Mrs. Ragnar Niclasen),
Luzon Island, Phillipines; Luella, (Mrs. John T. Enns),
Cochavamba, Bolivia; four sisters, Isabelle (Mrs. Harold Rector), Sydney;
Helen (Mrs. Garth MacDonald), Port Hilford; Mary
(Mrs. Fraser Wamback), Martha (Mrs. George MacDonald),
both of New Glasgow; nine grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Grace St. Claire (Kaye).
The body is in Calvary Faith Church, Sonora,
visiting 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday,
where funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday,
Rev. Jeffrey Reason officiating. Burial will be
in Sunset Cemetery, Indian Harbour Lake. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Gideon Bible Society.

SONORA - the largely attended funeral
of the late Margaret (Margie) Furlong
was held July 3 at Calvary Faith Church, Sonora,
with Rev. Jeffrey Reason officiating.
His message brought words of comfort to those attending.
Congregational hymns sung were What a Day That Will Be and Redeemed.
Special songs, Because He Lives and
He the Pearly Gates Will Open, were sung
by Gordon and Wayne MacDonald and Jim Ostewig
and Agnes Carmichael, respectively.
Pallbearers were nephews Joe and Roy Furlong, Wayne Wambeck,
Jeffrey Rector, John Garth MacDonald and son-in-law Rocky Niclasen.
Interment was held at the Sunset Rest Cemetery,
Indian Harbour Lake. Prayer was offered by Rev. Rocky Niclasen.
