Scott McLane Whidden
NEW GLASGOW - Scott McLane Whidden, 80,
of Sunset Haven Guest Home, formerly of Toronto,
died Friday, July 24, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Stillwater, Guysborough County, he was a son of the
late Simeon and Vera (McLane) Whidden. He was a guest
of Sunset Haven Guest Home for the past two years,
previously living in Toronto for about 45 years.
He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member
of the United Church. He is survived by a brother,
Harold, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes.
His remains will be cremated. A graveside committal service
will be at a later date in Waternish Cemetery. Donations may be made
to Recovery House, Monastery or Canadian Caner Society.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of
H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
