MORRIS, Jeremiah (Jerry) - 93,
Lincolnville, Guysborough Co., died May 6, 1998,
in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Birchtown, he was a son of the late
Jack and Sarah Jane (Ashe) Morris. He was retired from
the wheel foundry division of Trenton Car Works, and also worked
as a stevedore on the pulp boats in Mulgrave, and
at various local lumber camps. He was a member of Upper Big Tracadie United Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sara Reddick; daughters,
Bertha Delorey, Marabelle, Bessie May, Anne May Ash, Lincolnville;
Helen Marie, Toronto; Sara Jane, Alberta; son, Russell, Lincolnville;
brother, Robert Borden, Digby; numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers, Jim, Joe, Wallace;
sisters, Josephine, Sophie, Laura, Susan; great-grandson, Christian Morris.
Funeral was Sunday in Upper Big Tracadie United Baptist Church,
Pastor Norman Elms officiated, assisted by Rev. Donald Thomas.
Burial in Sunnyview Cemetery. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Nova Scotia, Canadian Diabetes Association or building fund of
Upper Big Tracadie United Baptist Church.
Arrangements entrusted to Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
