John William Ryan
RYAN, John William - 63,
Mulgrave, died October 12, 1998, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital,
Antigonish. Born in Mulgrave, he was a son of the late
Patrick and Ada Louise (Carr) Ryan. He was a retired professional
engineer having worked with General Electric in Peterborough, Ont.;
Westinghouse in Toronto; Montreal Engineering, Department of Transport
in Ottawa and with the Department of Natural Defense in Halifax.
Prior to his retirement, he had his own consulting firm.
He was a member of St. Lawrence's Parish, Mulgrave.
Surviving are sister, Theresa Hilda (Mrs. Kenneth Tasa), Montreal;
brothers, Joseph Seward, Nevada Valley; Patrick Michael, Calgary;
Leonard Daniel, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by sisters,
Marguerite Lillian Moore, Mary Kelly, Anna Strachan.
Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Lawrence's Church, Mulgrave.
Rev. Hughie MacNeil officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Donations to St. Lawrence's Church building fund or
Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Arrangements entrusted to
Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
