JOHN S. HENDERSON

John S. Henderson, 72, of Borneo
died Friday in St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Boston, Mass., he was a son of the
late George and Ella May (Mason) Henderson.
He was a retired farmer and woodsman.
He was a member of Crossroads United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Cooke;
five daughters, Freda MacDougall, Halifax; Ella
(Mrs. Thomas Wallace), Antigonish; Georgia (Mrs. William Gavin),
Merlin; Gladys (Mrs. Henry Hudson), Country Harbour;
Eleanor (Mrs. Brian Stewart), Park Falls; a son John,
Stellarton; and 22 grandchildren. He was predeceased
by nine brothers, Daniel, George W. , Ralph, Paul, George C.,
Philip, Loanza, Wilfred and Franklin,
four sisters, Carrie, Mary, Abbie and Georgia.
The body is in the family residence.
Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Crossroads United
Baptist Church, Rev. Malcolm Purdy officiating, with burial
in Evergreen Cemetery, Crossroads Country Harbour.
In lieu of flowers donations, may be made to the
Nova Scotia Lung Association or the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation.
